A Corrupt World: Power, Hypocrisy, and the Collapse of Justice

Introduction

When a militantly armed group kills roughly a thousand people, the response is often cast — rightly or wrongly — as “self-defense.” But when a state power responds by killing tens of thousands — overwhelmingly civilians — and is excused by most of the world, we see the blinding hypocrisy at the heart of our global order. The 2023–2025 war in Gaza has exposed how deeply corrupted are international institutions, how brittle is the rule of law, and how skewed moral standards have become.
